Leinster Hockey are hosting inter-provincial matches on Sunday 30th January and Sunday 6th February and with the lifting of covid restrictions now need support from volunteers at the events.  We would appreciate it if you could source some volunteers from within your club communities to help make these events run smoothly for all.

• Sunday 30th January : 14:00 to 19:00: 3 matches: Leinster Boys vs Munster at U16, U18 & U21 
• Sunday 6th February: 14:00 to 19:00 : 4 matches:  Leinster South vs Leinster and Munster vs Ulster at U16, U18

Volunteers must be over 18 and can sign up on easily on this google form HERE - they just need to provide their contact details and check which role(s) they are volunteering for
There are 3 key roles which need to be covered 
Venue manager : 13:45 to 19:15

Will have oversight of all volunteers and ensure that everything is running smoothly for the day!

Pitch Managers x 1 per match slot

Ensuring everything running smoothly on each pitch for each match
Limiting the dug-out side of each pitch to players, coaches, managers, Hockey Ireland and provincial officials (e.g. Irish coaches/managers, video staff etc)

Traffic Monitors x 4 per match slot

Front gate – monitoring traffic in/out; closing gates when the car parks are full; 
Behind the goal – stopping cars during penalty corners / to allow spectators/players to walk through

There is also an optional 4th role for any budding journalists / digital media / social media experts.  

It would be great to have one person per match keeping track of scores, ensuring a quarter by quarter status is available and then writing up a ‘neutral’ match report after the event
They wouldn't necessarily have direct access to Leinster twitter, but if they send in regular text messages we can tweet centrally
