September 2020


Senior Training

· BHC will follow the new guidelines for sport in the government’s Resilience and Recovery Plan 2020-21 and Hockey Ireland guidelines

o Level 1 and 2 – normal training in squads, matches can be played at the end of training sessions

o Level 3 – training in pods of 15

· Players may touch on-field equipment (goals, balls, cones etc.) if necessary, but should sanitise their hands afterwards.

· Goalkeeping equipment, with the exception of helmets, can be shared once fully disinfected between uses.

· If a player is living in a county that is at Level 3 or higher they should not attend training in Wicklow.

· Contact tracing will continue via ClubZap

· All players are encouraged to do the Covid Officer Sport Ireland course. Each team will have one CVO per session who is over 18 years of age to carry out duties for their session. This will be completed on a rota basis.


Junior Training

· In addition to above, all junior training sessions will continue with pods of 15 at every level.

· Parents will carry out CVO duties on a rota basis.

· Only coaches/ volunteers/ players are allowed access to pitch.


Loreto Bray

· Rubbish must continue to be taken away.

· There is access to toilet facilities – these must be used on a one in, out basis to ensure social distancing and kept sanitised.

· Equipment can be stored in the kit room only.

· No access to changing rooms.


TCG

· Rubbish must continue to be taken away.

· No access to toilet facilities

· Follow marked entrance/ exit gates.

· If disinfectant/ sanitiser is running low please restock in Loreto Bray/ contact Club CVO.


Matches

· Home matches: Teams must appoint a CVO for their match to carry out duties. Information about home pitch must be sent to visiting team prior to arrival.

o Friendly matches: A list of visiting players/ coaches/ umpire needs to be emailed to BHC email.

o League matches - match card will be used for contact tracing but must be filled in by 5pm Friday.

· Away matches: Send in match card or list of travelling persons to other club’s CVO.


Overseas Travel

· BHC members are asked to withdraw from training/ matches for two weeks after returning from overseas travel to any country with the exception of Northern Ireland

· If overseas travel was for essential purposes please contact a member of the committee.
